- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz feta cheese crumbled
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into 12 even slices.
- Arrange slices on a baking sheet, brush with half of the olive oil and bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp.
- In a food processor combine feta cheese, cream cheese, garlic, lemon juice, black pepper and remaining olive oil; blend until smooth.
- In a small saucepan gently warm honey with red pepper flakes over low heat for about 2 minutes until infused.
- Spread whipped feta onto each crostini, drizzle with hot honey, garnish with fresh thyme leaves and serve immediately.
Notes
- Crostini can be broiled for 1–2 minutes for extra crisp.
- Whipped feta can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to control the spiciness of the honey.
- Store any leftover components separately to maintain texture.
