Description

Golden brown patties crackle with every bite, mingling with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, sharp cheddar, and zesty sauce. Customize with jalapeños or avocado for extra kick.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles
  • 2 tablespoons burger sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.
  2. Divide the ground beef into four equal balls and season each with salt and pepper.
  3. Place each ball on the hot surface and use a spatula to press down firmly, creating a thin patty; cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and crispy.
  4. In four bowls, layer shredded lettuce, diced tomato, diced red onion, shredded cheddar cheese, pickles, and the cooked smash patties.
  5. Drizzle burger sauce evenly over each bowl and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crisp edges, press the patties firmly and let them cook undisturbed.
  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack to add a spicy kick.
  • Leftover patties can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Add sliced avocado or jalapeños for extra creaminess and heat.
