Description

This icy sorbet blends seedless watermelon with lime and lemon for a silky, vibrant treat that tingles on the tongue and cools you down in every spoonful.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon chunks
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Place watermelon chunks in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  2. Pour the puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing with a spoon to extract all liquid.
  3. Whisk in the sugar, lime juice, lemon juice and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches sorbet consistency.
  6. Transfer the sorbet to a shallow airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Use fully ripe watermelon for the sweetest flavor.
  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, freeze in a shallow pan and stir every 30 minutes until smooth.
  • Store sorbet in the coldest part of your freezer to maintain texture.
  • Serve within one week for best taste and texture.
