Description

A toss-together snack that marries the crunch of Corn Chex, ribbons of chocolate-peanut butter, and warm pumpkin spice. Each bite pops with candy corn, pretzel twists, and roasted peanuts, dusted in snow-like powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups corn chex cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1/2 cup mini pretzels
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  2. Stir in vanilla extract, salt, and pumpkin pie spice until fully incorporated.
  3. Place corn chex cereal in a large mixing bowl and pour the chocolate mixture over it. Gently fold until cereal is evenly coated.
  4. Transfer coated cereal to a large resealable plastic bag, add powdered sugar, seal, and shake until the pieces are well dusted.
  5. Spread the coated cereal on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let cool for 10 minutes.
  6. Once cooled, add candy corn, mini pretzels, and roasted peanuts to the bowl and toss to combine.
  7. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
  • For extra crunch, stir in toasted pecans or crisped rice cereal.
  • Adjust the amount of pumpkin pie spice according to your taste preferences.
  • Make sure the chocolate mixture has cooled slightly before adding fragile candies.
