Description

Whip up chewy, golden bagels with a crisp sesame crust, using gluten-free flour, Greek yogurt, and eggs. The air fryer delivers warm, pillowy rounds in minutes—perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour blend
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl whisk together gluten-free flour baking powder sugar and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl whisk 1 egg and Greek yogurt until smooth.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
  5. Lightly flour a clean surface and divide the dough into four equal pieces then roll each piece into a rope and join the ends to form bagels.
  6. In a small bowl beat the remaining egg with water to make an egg wash.
  7. Brush each bagel with the egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  8. Place the bagels in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove the bagels and let cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Dough can be sticky; dust hands and surface with extra flour as needed.
  • For a dairy-free option use plain plant-based yogurt.
  • Store cooled bagels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
  • Reheat leftover bagels in the air fryer or toaster for 2 to 3 minutes for best texture.
