Description
This fruit salad balances sweet honey and tart lemon against warm cinnamon, featuring crisp apples, plump grapes, and crunchy pecans for a playful mix of flavors and textures in every bite.
Ingredients
- 2 medium Apples
- 1 cup Red Grapes
- 1/2 cup Pecans
- 3 tablespoons Honey
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Preheat a dry skillet over medium heat.
- Add pecans and toast, stirring frequently, until fragrant and lightly browned, about 4 minutes; remove from heat and let cool.
- In a small bowl whisk honey, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Core and thinly slice the apples; halve the grapes.
- Place the apple slices and grape halves in a large bowl.
- Pour the honey mixture over the fruit and toss gently to coat.
- Transfer the salad to a serving dish and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
- Drizzle any remaining honey mixture over the top before serving.
Notes
- For extra crunch, toast pecans until they just begin to brown and avoid burning.
- Apples can be substituted with pears for a milder, sweeter taste.
- Salad can be prepared up to 30 minutes ahead and chilled in the refrigerator.
- Add a handful of fresh mint leaves for a bright, herbal contrast.
