Description

Crunchy walnuts and sweet pear slices mingle with peppery greens and tangy goat cheese, all kissed by a honey-balsamic vinaigrette. Each bite offers a symphony of textures and flavors to brighten up any meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups arugula
  • 1 medium pear
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch black pepper

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry the arugula, then place it in a large salad bowl.
  2. Core and thinly slice the pear, arranging the slices over the arugula.
  3. Roughly chop the walnuts and scatter them atop the greens and pear.
  4. Sprinkle the crumbled goat cheese evenly over the salad.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper until emulsified.
  6. Drizzle the dressing over the salad just before serving.
  7. Toss gently to coat all ingredients and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, toast the walnuts lightly in a dry skillet before adding.
  • Substitute pecans or almonds if walnuts aren’t available.
  • To prevent pear slices from browning, toss them in a little lemon juice before assembly.
  • Serve the salad chilled for the freshest flavor.
