Description

Crunchy apple slices mingle with creamy gorgonzola, candied walnuts, and tart cranberries, all coated in a lightly sweet vinaigrette. A vibrant salad that balances textures and flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1 large apple, thinly sliced
  • 100 grams Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup candied walnuts
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place mixed salad greens on a large serving platter or in a salad bowl.
  3. Arrange the thinly sliced apple over the greens.
  4. Sprinkle crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, candied walnuts, and dried cranberries on top.
  5. Drizzle the dressing evenly over the salad.
  6. Gently toss the salad to coat all ingredients with the dressing before serving.

Notes

  • Choose a crisp apple variety like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best texture.
  • Toast plain walnuts with a little brown sugar if candied walnuts are unavailable.
  • Add thinly sliced red onion or pear slices for extra flavor.
  • Prepare the dressing in advance and store in the refrigerator for up to two days.
