Description

Golden apple fries emerge crisp outside and tender within, coated in cinnamon sugar with a hint of vanilla. Ready in minutes from your air fryer, they’re perfect dipped in caramel or yogurt for a quick, sweet crunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
  2. Core the apples and cut them into fry shapes about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. In a small bowl mix the melted butter and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Toss the apple slices in the butter mixture, then coat them evenly with the cinnamon sugar.
  6. Lightly brush or spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil and arrange the apple fries in a single layer.
  7. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the fries are golden and crisp.
  8. Remove the fries and let them cool for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Keep the apple fries in a single layer to ensure even cooking.
  • Shake the basket halfway through to prevent the fries from sticking together.
  • Serve with caramel sauce, yogurt dip, or vanilla ice cream for added flavor.
  • These fries are best enjoyed fresh for maximum crispness.
